United States · community hub: Surfside / Bal Harbour · airport MIA, about 40 min by car. Everything below was checked against the sources on each listing in November 2026; confirm times with the shul before you rely on them.
Surfside, Bal Harbour and Bay Harbor Islands are covered. In Surfside the beach walking paths are inside the eruv (carry on the paths only, not onto the sand); in Bal Harbour only the inner (western) path; the Haulover Cut pier and Indian Creek Island are outside. South Beach, Mid-Beach and North Beach have a separate eruv run by the Miami Beach Eruv Council (miamibeacheruv.org, said to be inspected every Friday; the site did not load on Nov 1); it does not include Surfside, Bal Harbour or Bay Harbor Islands. The Surfside status link showed NOT CHECKED on Nov 1 (updated Oct 30): check about 2 h before candle lighting; eruvalerts.com and local WhatsApp groups also post updates (per Hechal Shalom). Rechecked Nov 1: eruvstat.us/33154 still NOT CHECKED (updated Oct 30) and miamibeacheruv.org still would not load. Surfside's own page says Surfside has a Mehadrin eruv under Rabbi Mordechai Fuchs (Lakewood) and Bay Harbor and Bal Harbour use the eruv built and approved by the late Rabbi Pinchas A. Weberman (surfsideminyan.com/eruv, undated; it shows no live status). Weekly status ↗
