A Mar 2020 report called Belmonte's new eruv Portugal's first in more than 500 years and names no Porto eruv. Treat Shabbat as no-carry and confirm with the community on +351 911 768 596; no status page found online.

No Shabbat mention in Google, Booking.com or TripAdvisor reviews (Nov 2026). Ask about a manual key and Shabbat elevator before booking. · +351 22 608 3900
About 0.55 km (8 min walk) from the shul. Minyan: Fri Kabbalat Shabbat: Times: call; Shabbat Shacharit: Times: call; weekday Shacharit: Times: call. CIP says a minyan is held on all Shabbatot and chagim and publishes no times; none found in the Jewish Link (May 2025), NY Jewish Travel Guide (Jun 2026), Google reviews, Jewish Heritage Alliance tour itineraries, JGuide Europe, Portoalities, the EJA community page or the 2015 and 2022 federation tour itineraries either (rechecked 1 Nov 2026). Jewish Link (May 2025) and NY Jewish Travel Guide (Jun 2026) both say a regular minyan and kiddush follow every Shabbat, with no clock time. Every visitor files an individual form on the CIP Shabbat page by 11:00 on the Friday before and waits for the emailed reply (late requests may not be processed). Free kosher meal after Saturday morning prayers; donations welcome. Guards at the door; bring passport or ID. A Google reviewer who attended Shabbat services also says to contact them in advance and bring ID; they answered by email quickly. Portoalities' FAQ (undated) says Jewish visitors can attend services but ordinary tourist visits are no longer accepted, and gives tourism@comunidade-israelita-porto.org for enquiries. CIP's About page also names a second synagogue, Mekor Simcha (see por-simcha; no address or schedule published).

Minyan: Times: call. Named on CIP's About page as a second synagogue, and a Maariv sponsored article written with the Jewish Community of Porto (undated, text covers 2012 to 2024) says CIP set up a second synagogue for about 300 young French students who study in Porto. No address, schedule or Shabbat meal is published, and it is not mentioned on the CIP Shabbat or kashrut pages (checked 2 Nov 2026), so confirm it is still running and whether visitors may attend before relying on it. Visitors to CIP services submit the security form on the Shabbat page by 11:00 on the Friday before.

Minyan: Times: call. The schedule page says the community's hours 'have not yet been communicated' (checked 1 Nov 2026). lubavitch.com lists Rabbi Haim Hillel Chettrit and Mrs Hanna Chettrit (2 shluchim) and no services. Neither source states that a regular Shabbat minyan or meal runs; confirm before relying on it. No Chabad Porto listing found on Google Maps, and Facebook and Instagram pages are blocked to fetching, so no clock time or street address turned up (rechecked 1 Nov 2026). A Google review of Chabad Cascais (Avner Cohen Casa Chabad, undated) names Rabbi Haim Hillel Chettrit and Mrs Hanna Chettrit on its Cascais team, so confirm they are active in Porto.

About 0.65 km from the shul. Booking.com Q&A (Nov 2026) still says kosher meals are pre-reserved and pre-paid; Portoalities (Apr 2026) says a certified kosher meal is available on request but the restaurant is not 100% kosher by itself, so confirm given the suspension.

Seen in older guides, checked Nov 2026: Makolet by Sababa (Rua do Campo Alegre 800) and Sababa Catering (+351 910 079 657): suspended per the CIP notice of 8 Jul 2026, expected back by end of 2026. Hotel da Música restaurant and Ibéria carry the same notice and are listed under food with that flag. TotallyJewishTravel still lists Sababa Porto kosher catering (Oporto Rabbinate, Shabbat meals, delivery) at the synagogue address; the CIP suspension notice overrides it. · Casa de Hummus (planned by member Ilan Dahan per Jewish Link May 2025; NY Jewish Travel Guide Jun 2026 repeats 'soon-to-be'): Not found online as a kosher venue as of Nov 2026 (checked the CIP kashrut list, Google Places queries in English, Portuguese and Hebrew, and a Hebrew web search). Google shows a Casa de Hummus at Rua de Santo Ildefonso 233 and one undated reviewer says it no longer exists; nothing marks it kosher. Do not rely on it; ask CIP on +351 911 768 596. · A separate 'Kosher Hotel Porto': Not found online as of Nov 2026 (checked Google Places, Booking.com, CIP pages, and a Hebrew web search; Places queries were in English, Portuguese and Hebrew). Hotel da Música says it is not officially a kosher hotel; no CIP-run hotel or restaurant besides the Hotel da Música kitchen was found. Besides Mekor Haim (Nusach Sefard) CIP names a second synagogue, Mekor Simcha (see shuls); no other Sephardic or Orthodox minyan was found online as of Nov 2026 (checked Google Places, CIP and Chabad pages, Places queries in English, Portuguese and Hebrew, and a Hebrew web search). · InterContinental Porto Palacio das Cardosas (Praca da Liberdade 25, used for a Torah in Motion Shabbat in 2022) is about 2.4 km from the shul, so outside the Shabbat-walk range and not listed.
